Behind the Scenes Day is designed to provide potential students an in-depth look at the Apparel, Merchandising, and Design (AMD) major in the College of Human Sciences at Iowa State University. This also gives students the chance to explore the career opportunities this major offers. We are inviting educators and students to attend this exciting event on Friday, April 8, 2016. This day offers a chance for your students to experience a day in the life of an Iowa State University student in the AMD program.
Students will get to sit in on mini-classes from our award-winning faculty in areas such as patternmaking, fashion illustration, merchandising, historical dress, digital textile printing and many more. Additionally, students will be able to meet with our admission's staff, faculty, and attend a dress rehearsal of The ISU Fashion Show 2016.
To attend the Behind the Scenes Day and The Fashion Show dress rehearsal, we request a $10 fee upon checking in. The day begins with prospective students check-in at 8:30 am, and activities starting at 9:00 am. We invite students that are interested in the Apparel, Merchandising, and Design program to register for Behind the Scenes Day at http://www.hs.iastate.edu/
