Concurrent Enrollment
IntroductionConcurrent Enrollment courses allow SLHS students the opportunity to enroll in college credit classes
offered through Iowa Lakes Community College. Course offerings are intended to strengthen and
enhance the curriculum offerings at SLHS and not replace current curriculum offerings.
Credit
Students receive both SLHS and ILCC credit upon the successful completion of concurrent
enrollment courses.
Eligibility
Students in grades 9-12, must have completed the ASSET, COMPASS, ACCUPLACER or ACT. See placement guidelines here.
Register
1. Students interested in registering for concurrent enrollments courses should and discuss their
options with me.
2. Students must have completed the ASSET, COMPASS, or ACT. Scores on these tests will
dictate which concurrent enrollment courses students are eligible for.
3. Students need to complete the registration form and turn-in to me by the deadline.
4. Students must watch presentation.
5. Students and their parents will also need to complete the Career Connect form and turn-in to me.
This form requires the signature of the student and student's parent/guardian signifying that
both parties have received information regarding enrollment in dual-credit courses and are aware
of students' responsibilities of such courses.

Checklist for HS Students Taking Online ILCC Courses
Please find a brief list of things that you need to do prior to the start of class.
- Check to ensure your computer meets the required technical requirements.
- Make sure that you received your confirmation email with your user ID and password
- This information will be mailed to the email address that you submitted on your ILCC application
- Understand the start and end dates for your online course
- These may be different than those of your high school classes
- Be aware of all dates and policies for dropping courses
- Prior to the start of class, log in at www.iowacconline.com
- Complete the Student Orientation Tutorial, if you are new to online courses
- Be sure to have the correct textbook before classes start.
