Iowa Lakes will send two students on the 2015 Youth Tour - an exciting, week-long, all-expense paid trip to our nation's Capitol from June 12-18, 2015. Along with the all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C., both students will also receive a $500 scholarship to a college of their choice.
During this action-packed adventure, students learn about electric cooperatives, American history and U.S. Government. They will attend educational seminars, visit with their representatives in the House and the Senate, and see the sites around Washington D.C. including Arlington Cemetery, the Holocaust Museum and the National Cathedral.
Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative selects candidates based on a Youth Tour Application and a personal interview. Applications must be submitted to Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative by March 15, 2016.
Visit the youth tour website at www.youthtour.coop to view an informative video from previous attendees and learn more about the youth tour trip.
If you have questions or would like an application, please contact Bobbi Jo Ruschy at 800-225-4532, ext. 6729.
