Career Exploration & Development - Small Group Opportunity

Last summer, I attended a three-day career coach training workshop. The purpose of the workshop was to learn Richard Knowdell's career development method in hopes to then coach others through the process. I would like to put my education and training from this workshop into practice by running a small group (15 max) for SLHS students!

  • Who: SLHS students, age 16+
  • What: Career Exploration & Development Group
  • When: Sunday evenings at 7:00pm starting February 15th and concluding March 29th
  • Where: SLHS, room location TBD
  • Why: To become better aware of yourself to identify and plan for your career aspiration(s)
  • How: Email Mrs.Nelson if you are interested, please see disclaimer below!

Disclaimer:  In order to participate, I need students' full commitment. To get the most out of the experience,  one must attend all sessions, follow expectations and complete weekly homework.

Because only 15 spots are available, I'm anticipating that this will fill up fast. Should you/your child not be interested at this time and/or not reserve a seat before the group is full, please note that the ultimate goal would be to have this first trial go smoothly and prove to be effective, in which I would then run more frequent opportunities like this in the following academic years.

Thanks,
Mrs.Nelson

College Raptor - pretty much the coolest thing since sliced bread!

Check out what all of the College Raptor buzz is about!

There is a pretty nifty new college search website that estimates your true cost of attendance, rather than their sticker prices. It has information on every four-year college and university in the US to aid you in not only identifying colleges that would fit your preferences and what you're looking for in a college, but also allowing you to make a solid financial decision to avoid racking up student loan debt!
